Your Refrigerator Is Toxic, And There’s Already A Solution: Greenfreeze
As you may have heard fridges used to use CFC’s to keep food cool, which was horrific when the fridge was thrown out and the CFC’s were allowed to escape into the atmosphere. CFC’s are an extremely potent greenhouse gas…
Well, it was fazed out and replaced with HFC’c, which as it turns out, is also a potent greenhouse gas – well that plan didn’t pan out too well. In fact, HFC’s and other fluorinated gases account for 17% of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
So now the fridge in your house and the old one at your grandma’s place are both ecological disasters. Luckily this no longer needs to continue, there’s a refrigerator that is environmentally safe and avoids greenhouse gas producing disasters.
It’s already the most popular fridge in Europe, and you can buy it in Japan, china & India… but not North America. It uses hydrocarbons which are ozone friendly and all the major fridge manufacturers in the aforementioned countries.
What I thought was pretty cool – this technology was developed by Greenpeace! When regulators banned CFC’s and replaced them with another greenhouse gas producing product, Greenpeace decided to take matters into their own hands and prove it could be done safely and created Greenfreeze.
And it was a massive success – there are now over 150 million fridges in the world using Greenfreeze technology!
The sad part is that we can’t buy them in North America. If you find this a pathetic and frustrating as I do, you can voice your thoughts and tell you local government representative about the benefits of Greenfreeze.
Now, more than ever, that’s the kind of fridge we all need.

I thought CFCs were banned now.
