Speedy Eco Tip #3

Posted July 2nd, 2008 by Christine

Put an upside-down frisbee on your grass when you water it. When the frisbee’s full you know you’ve given you grass enough water and you can turn off the tap!

That’s a great tip. I wonder how many people over-water their lawns?

    Thanks Dagny,

Sadly, I think most people do. Especially here in North America we seem to view clean water as an endless supply and the idea of using it wisely doesn’t even enter a lot of people’s heads. Hopefully that will be changing soon with the increased awareness about the state of our planet.

Cool organic t-shirts by the way! Do they use less water to produce than a regular cotton t-shirt?

    Cheers,
    Christine
